Coach Pavel Dotchev was particularly complaining about referee decisions after his FC Erzgebirge Aue's 2-1 defeat on Sunday evening in the 3rd Football League against SSV 1846 Ulm. "The team got too excited, also because of some referee decisions. Talking to the referee doesn't help. It's like talking to a wall," the coach said. In his opinion, Aue would have deserved a victory. "We don't have to hide. We would also have deserved the three points," he said.
Aue suffered its second defeat in the sixth home game of the season. This was especially for one player: Martin Männel. The goalkeeper of the "Veilchen" would have liked to cheer a victory in his 500th game for the club. "For me, personally, but also as a sportsman, it would have been nice to bring the game over time," said Männel at "MagentaSport."
Next Sunday, the "Veilchen" play at SC Freiburg II. Although the currently 19th of the 3rd division seems to be a supposedly easier opponent, the away record of Aue, however, still leaves much to be desired. In six games, there has only been one win so far. That the fifth in the table, however, wants to "continue to collect points" and secure the good ranking, said Dotchev.
