Ahead of the next two Nations League games, national coach Julian Nagelsmann has received a number of cancellations. Leipzig's David Raum is now also likely to miss out. Robin Gosens is set to return to the team instead.

Bundes coach Julian Nagelsmann has apparently recorded the next absentee for the upcoming international matches in the Nations League. According to the newspaper "Bild", Leipzig's David Raum will also have to miss out due to injury. Instead, Robin Gosens can apparently hope to return to the DFB team after almost a year ahead of the games in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday (20:45/RTL) and against the Netherlands three days later in Munich.

On Monday morning, Frankfurt defender Robin Koch withdrew with hip problems. Nagelsmann had called up attacking player Kevin Schade (22) from Premier League club FC Brentford to replace him.

Kai Havertz (knee), Jamal Musiala (hip joint) and Niclas Füllkrug (Achilles tendon irritation) had previously withdrawn. Regular goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will be out for months with a knee injury.

Nagelsmann had called up Mainz international Jonathan Burkardt to replace Havertz. Bayern professional Musiala was replaced by Stuttgart's Jamie Leweling, who was called up for the senior team for the first time. Gladbach center forward Tim Kleindienst has also been included in the DFB squad for the first time in place of Füllkrug, who has been suffering from an ailment for some time. Schade has made three international appearances so far, last appearing for the DFB in September 2023.

Koch had already had to take a forced break ten days ago in the Europa League opener against Viktoria Pilsen due to the discomfort. The 28-year-old then played again against Holstein Kiel, Besiktas Istanbul and Bayern and was one of Hesse's mainstays. "He gritted his teeth today and did a brilliant job. But it's not so easy for him at the moment," said Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller after the Bayern game.
