In the Regionalliga-Nordost, an unusual match has been canceled. The match between FC Carl Zeiss Jena and FSV Zwickau scheduled for Saturday has been postponed indefinitely because the visitors currently have too few players available. This was announced by the North-East German Football Association (NOFV) on Thursday.
Since Zwickau have a high number of sick players due to a flu epidemic, the relegated third-division club said that only eight players would be available next weekend. In addition, the Saxons have a high number of injured players. A new date has yet to be found. Zwickau are only second last after the summer shake-up and are threatened with relegation to the fifth division.
