The popular winter exhibition "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" at Moritzburg Castle has broken a new visitor mark. On Saturday, a nine-year-old girl from Dresden was welcomed as the 1.5 millionth visitor, according to the museum. The child was presented with a gift and flowers.
Exhibition on display until March 2
The exhibition about the classic film "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" attracts 120,000 to 130,000 visitors every winter, according to the museum. It gives an insight into filming, shows original costumes, props and recreated scenes. This year marks the 13th edition of the show. The exhibition is accompanied by a supporting program with outdoor tours to film locations, hands-on theater and fairytale readings. Cinderella's shoe can also be found on the castle steps. The exhibition is open until March 2.
The baroque hunting lodge of Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong (1670-1733) was a filming location for the German-Czech co-production from 1972/1973.
