The RB Leipzig women's soccer team lost at new Bundesliga leaders Eintracht Frankfurt. In the 3-0 (0-1) defeat, the Saxons were without a chance for almost the entire game. Most of the action took place in Leipzig's half. Nicole Anyomi (7th minute), Tanja Pawollek (63rd) and Carlotta Wamser (88th) scored the goals for the Hessians. The defeat leaves RB in seventh place in the table with 16 points.
From the outset, Frankfurt dominated the game at the Stadion am Brentanobad and pinned Leipzig back in their own half. Anyomi put an early damper on Leipzig. The international benefited from a misplaced pass from Lou-Ann Joly. Luckily for the visitors, Frankfurt still lacked precision.
After the break, Leipzig were more courageous and attacked Eintracht earlier. This allowed them to keep the ball away from their own goal. However, Frankfurt increased the pressure after ten minutes and created a number of chances. Initially, Leipzig were able to prevent them by working together and in some cases luckily. But Pawollek put an end to the proliferation of chances.
