Alphonso Davies is on the verge of a move to Real Madrid, according to consistent reports in the Spanish media. The FC Bayern Munich left-back and the Spanish soccer champions have already reached an agreement, according to reports. "Davies is almost perfect", was the headline in Madrid's specialist newspaper "AS" on Tuesday.
As the professional's contract expires in the summer of 2025, Real will probably be able to get the 23-year-old Canadian for 40 million euros, although the price is actually 70 million euros, according to "AS". FCB will want to prevent a "new Alaba case" at all costs, the paper assures. The Austrian David Alaba moved to Real for free in the summer of 2021 after his contract in Munich ended.
Rival newspaper "Marca", which like "AS" featured Davies prominently on its front page on Tuesday, reported similarly. "The defender is clear about his future and dreams of playing in Madrid," the usually well-informed newspaper reports. Negotiations between the clubs will begin in the next few days, according to reports.
