Following his departure from women's Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, coach Saban Uzun has a new job. The 37-year-old is moving to Austria to second division club SV Lafnitz. The club made the announcement on Wednesday. Uzun signed a contract until 2026. Lafnitz are in tenth place with one matchday to go until the end of the season.
Uzun had worked at Leipzig for two years and led the club to the Bundesliga and the semi-finals of the DFB Cup. A few weeks ago, RB announced that it would not be renewing Uzun's contract. His successor is Jonas Stephan, who previously coached Eintracht Braunschweig's U19 men's team.
