Celtic coach Rodgers knows Rose's teams inside out

Celtic Glasgow coach Brendan Rodgers is well prepared for the Champions League match against RB Leipzig. "I know how Marco Rose's teams play and the philosophy of RB. They will run a lot and be aggressive," said Rodgers ahead of this Tuesday's Champions League clash (21:00/DAZN) at Celtic Park. "Every game in this competition is like a cup final. At this level, mistakes are punished immediately. In every game there are moments when you have to suffer."

Former Augsburg professional Arne Engels, Celtic's record transfer, also emphasized: "Everyone knows that Leipzig are a good team. We are ready for what lies ahead. I played against Leipzig in the Bundesliga, but it's a different team to last year."

Engels is looking forward to an "incredible atmosphere"

As always, he expects "an incredible atmosphere in our stadium. That pushes us to the limit". Engels is particularly looking forward to his Belgian compatriots Loïs Openda, Arthur Vermeeren and Maarten Vandevoordt. He even played together with the Norwegian Antonio Nusa in the U19 Youth League for FC Brugge.

Celtic recently won 6-0 against Aberdeen in the cup competition. Aberdeen are level on points with leaders Celtic in the league and are still unbeaten. The Scots are currently eleven places ahead of Leipzig in 20th place in the top flight, having opened their campaign with a goalless draw at Atalanta Bergamo and a 5-1 win at home against bottom club Slovan Bratislava. In between, they suffered a 7-1 defeat at Borussia Dortmund.
