Dresden volleyball girls fight for victory in Wiesbaden

The Dresdner SC women's volleyball team won clearly 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) at VC Wiesbaden on the second day of Bundesliga play. After the opening defeat against Potsdam, coach Alexander Waibl's charges celebrated their first win of the new season. Before 1279 spectators contributed Diagonalangreiferin Grace Frohling most points (16) to the victory.

The Elbestädterinnen showed themselves above all in the attack clearly improved. In each case until the middle of the set the hosts could keep up, then the DSC players set themselves apart. Director Sarah Straube could distribute the balls very variably from a stable acceptance and the attackers used their chances.

Also in the block and field defense the Waibl protégés stood very surely, particularly Libera Aleksandra Jegdic scratched many balls still from the field. Overall, many things worked better than in the opening match in Potsdam. After 73 minutes, captain Jennifer Janiska converted the first match point.
