Erzgebirge Aue will probably also have to do without top scorer Marcel Bär in the East German clash with Energie Cottbus. The third division club announced that a return for the game on Tuesday (19:00/Magentasport) would be a "race against time". A decision will be made shortly before kick-off.
Bär missed the game at Waldhof Mannheim (0:3) last Friday due to illness. Although the 32-year-old is now feeling better, he still has a training backlog. Bär scored four times in nine games and set up three goals.
Aue suffered three consecutive defeats in the league and slipped to seventh place in the table. However, the Saxons are only two points off second place.
