Will Maarten Vandevoordt inherit Peter Gulacsi as RB Leipzig's number one in the summer? According to information from "Sport Bild" (Wednesday), this could be the case. The 22-year-old Belgian is considered highly talented and has already shown his class in previous appearances for the Saxons. Nevertheless, Gulacsi retained his status as the Saxon Bundesliga club's regular goalkeeper. He also justified the trust in his games.
RB coach Marco Rose had always emphasized that the future belongs to Vandevoordt. This could now begin with the new season. Gulacsi has been linked with a move to the club for some time. This would become more concrete if the Hungarian international goalkeeper loses his regular place. The 35-year-old is determined to play in the 2026 World Cup. The magazine named RB's sister club New York Red Bulls as a possible new club.
