Bundesliga club RB Leipzig have started their preparations for their visit to Borussia Mönchengladbach with the first players to return from international duty. Four days before the game on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky), the first three of the 14 national team players on international duty - midfielders Christoph Baumgartner and Xaver Schlager and goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi - only completed individual training sessions, the club announced. The other national team players are expected on Wednesday.
In addition to the two Austrians and the Hungarian goalkeeper, Yussuf Poulsen was also absent from team training. The Denmark attacker, who was not invited for the Nations League quarter-final against Portugal, trained partially individually.
RB coach Marco Rose will still have to do without three long-term injuries. Antonio Nusa is expected back from his knee injury at the end of March, while Benjamin Henrichs and Assan Ouedraogo will be out for longer.
