After the hostility towards his player Loïs Openda, RB Leipzig head coach Marco Rose has called for fundamental consequences against racism. "There are many ways to tackle it. Education and charity, but also harsh punishments when racism is so latent from the living room and out of nowhere with threats," said the 48-year-old on DAZN.
"You really have to intervene, pursue it and act accordingly," said the coach shortly before the game at FC Augsburg. "There is nothing more senseless than racism," said the Leipzig coach.
After the Bundesliga home match against FC St. Pauli, the black Leipzig striker Openda was insulted on social networks with numerous racist comments.
