Norman Rentsch's players laid the foundation for their home win against Metzingen with an impressive final spurt.

The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau have celebrated their second win of the season. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges came out on top 28:22 (14:12) against TuS Metzingen in their Bundesliga game at home in Zwickau's Stadthalle on Saturday. Arwen Gorb (6), Blanka Kajdon (6/3), Kaho Nakayama (5) and Laura Szabo (5/3) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. Jana Scheib (6) and Nele Franz (6/3) scored the most goals for Metzingen.

Zwickau got off to a very good start to the game and led 4:1 after ten minutes, but the visitors tied the scores at 6:6 nine minutes later. An open exchange of blows then ensued. After leading 19:16 (41'), the visitors trailed 20:21 (45'). Zwickau conceded just one goal in the final quarter of an hour thanks to its outstanding defense with goalkeeper Barbara Gyori and produced an 8:1 run to decide the encounter.
