Frost damage threatens Saxony's cideries

Every year, many Saxons bring apples, quinces and the like from their gardens and orchards to the cideries. But the harvest threatens to be a total failure. The result: rising prices.

Saxon viticulture suffers from crop failures

The vineyards in Saxony's Elbe Valley have green leaves and the vines have sprouted again after the late frost. However, fruit is rare, depending on the location - but there could be top wines.
