Saxony is a tourist magnet. The coronavirus pandemic has halted growth, but since the end of the pandemic, the number of visitors has risen again - and the balance sheet is positive.
Saxony recorded a significant increase in the number of overnight camping stays in 2023. In terms of price, the Free State is in the middle of the pack in Germany.
The number of guests in Lower Saxony rose by around ten percent to more than 15 million in 2023, but the pre-corona year 2019 has not yet been reached.
