Marco Rose has expressed his optimism ahead of the Champions League match against Juventus Turin that he will be able to crack the opposition's defense. "We've identified things that we want to exploit and can exploit. To do that, we have to play at the top level tomorrow," said RB Leipzig's head coach, going into more detail against the Italians, who have yet to concede a goal in Serie A: "We have to make short work of the spaces we'll have. There are also simple solutions, which we showed the team today, so that we can also be dangerous against them."
In the second preliminary round match in the top flight this Wednesday (21:00/DAZN), Rose warned against Juventus' strong left flank in particular. "They're good at switching positions. Juve are always dangerous, always have quality," said the coach, while also talking up his team: "We're not that bad either, we're really expecting something tomorrow." After all, coach Thiago Motta's Italian side conceded their only goal of the season in the Champions League opener 3-1 against PSV Eindhoven.
RB goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who has withdrawn for the Hungarian side's upcoming internationals and wants to concentrate on himself and RB for the time being, warned against the team's individual strength. "It's not the extreme intensity, but they are technically very strong and difficult to break down. Juve work very well at the back, they have a lot of quality there, it won't be easy for us," said the Hungarian and appealed to his team: "A goalkeeper alone is not enough, we have to defend well as a team."
