The US-American William Christmas is moving from the Veolia Towers Hamburg to the Niners Chemnitz within the German Basketball League. The 27-year-old has signed for the coming season and thus completes the squad of the Saxons, as the Niners announced.
"Will brings a lot of size and athleticism for the positions he can play," said Niners coach Rodrigo Pastore about the latest addition. Christmas was the only Hamburg player to appear in all 56 games last season.
The team from Chemnitz had previously had to say goodbye to six players from the previous regular rotation - above all top performer Kevin Yebo. Christmas is the Niners' sixth signing after CJ Penha, Nicholas Tischler, Eddy Edigin, Olivier Nkamhoua and Roman Bedime.
