RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose was able to call on a larger squad again in training on Wednesday. In addition to the first players to return after the national team break, Frenchman El Chadaille Bitshiabu was also on the pitch. The central defender, who was brought in from Paris in the summer, completed his first training sessions with the team following his knee injury. The 18-year-old has yet to play a competitive match for Leipzig. RB are back in action in the Bundesliga at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky).
Midfielder Kevin Kampl also played with the team to some extent following his ankle problems. Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi trained individually due to a bruised toe, as did captain Willi Orban, who has been suffering from a torn knee ligament since October. Attacker Timo Werner rested with adductor problems and central defender Castello Lukeba sat out due to stress management.
