Saxony sees itself as a reading state and therefore also wants to score points at the book fair in Frankfurt - especially with children's books.

Printers, publishers and authors from Saxony want to present themselves with a diverse program at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) has organized a joint stand for this purpose. Numerous Saxon players in the industry will also be represented with their own stands. In addition to classic books and e-readers, solutions for digital accessibility will also be presented, according to the WFS. The book fair will take place from October 16 to 20.

According to the economic development agency, this year's focus will be on children's books. A program of events with readings, lectures and discussions will be offered at the joint stand. The company SDP Sachsendruck GmbH claims to be the world's first print shop to produce vegan books from cardboard on request. The paper used for this must not contain any animal decomposition products.
