DHfK managing director Karsten Günther is to be relieved of his many tasks. Bastian Roscheck, an old acquaintance, returns as sports director.

Former national handball player Bastian Roscheck is returning to Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig as sports director. The Saxons announced the personnel decision on Wednesday. The 33-year-old had left Leipzig in 2021 after eight years and 250 competitive games.

Roscheck, who currently still plays for third-division club HSG Krefeld Niederrhein, is particularly important as support for managing director Karsten Günther. In the Bundesliga, Roscheck also played for HSG Düsseldorf and TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. He also made four appearances for the German senior national team.
