The Dresden SC volleyball team lost the top match against Allianz MTV Stuttgart 1:3 (25:15, 23:25, 17:25, 25:27) after a high-class and close game. The defending champions thus ousted the previous league leaders, who dropped to third place.
The Dresden team got off to a very focused start in front of 3,000 spectators and showed excellent tactical positioning. They put the defending champions under pressure with their tasks, setter Sarah Straube was able to bring her attackers into play in a variety of ways from a stable reception and the block and court defense also acted confidently.
