RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi praises the work of interim coach Zsolt Löw. "He is very close to the players and has brought in a new energy. The way he is as a person suits this team very well," said Gulacsi in an interview with "Kicker". According to Gulasci, you can see that Löw "has developed extremely professionally through his time with Thomas Tuchel and has worked at big clubs".
Gulacsi also has a clear position on his own future in Leipzig, where Maarten Vandevoordt is the future. "We had and have a very clear position with the club," said the Hungarian, emphasizing that he had earned himself a bonus with a good second half of the season last year: "But I'm grown-up and intelligent enough to understand the situation. A young goalkeeper needs playing time at a new club in order to develop further."
No desperate fight for playing time
For Gulacsi, it's fine that his Belgian colleague is getting more and more playing time. "I could fight desperately for every minute and say that I want this and that. But that wouldn't be the right attitude for the overall structure, and I'm not that kind of guy either."
The long-serving RB regular keeper still has a contract until the summer of 2026 and feels very comfortable in Leipzig with his family and "doesn't want to end his career next year. For me, it's about continuing to play soccer beyond 2026".
