The Niners Chemnitz basketball team must fear for their progress in the Champions League. The Saxons clearly lost 59:105 (31:44) at Baxi Manresa and are under pressure in the remaining three group games. DeAndre Lansdowne (15) and William Christmas (11) scored the most points for Chemnitz.
The German club was only a match for its opponents in the first six minutes. After the score was tied at 11:11, the Catalans pulled away with a 19:1 run to make it 30:12 (12') and so set the course for victory early on. In the 32nd minute, the home side was already 73:43 ahead against a Saxony side that was completely overstretched. The visitors were unable to find a way past the Spaniards' aggressive defense and only converted three of their 21 attempts from beyond the arc. By contrast, the home side drained 14 of its 22 shots from beyond the arc.
