Despite an ever-growing injury list, RB Leipzig want and need to end their run of five games without a win in all competitions against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). "We should make sure there aren't many more to calm the situation down again," said coach Marco Rose.
Xaver Schlager will be back in the RB squad for the first time against Wolfsburg, who have only won once in Leipzig. The Austrian had been out for months due to a cruciate ligament rupture. Assan Ouedraogo, on the other hand, will be missing for a longer period of time. The 18-year-old suffered a muscle injury with tendon involvement in his left thigh in the Champions League match at Inter Milan.
