Kevin Kampl has returned to team training at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig almost a month after suffering an adductor injury. The 34-year-old midfielder was back in full training with the team, the club announced. Kampl suffered the injury before the Champions League match at Atletico Madrid on September 19, which Leipzig lost 2-1.
While Kampl can hope to return to action soon, Assan Ouedraogo and Benjamin Henrichs will have to wait a little longer. New signing Ouedraogo was injured in a pre-season match against Aston Villa at the beginning of August and continues to train on a partially integrated basis.
Henrichs left the German national team's headquarters last Wednesday with back problems. The 27-year-old winger is currently undergoing individual training and is expected to return to team training soon. Leipzig coach Marco Rose will be without the long-term injured Xaver Schlager and David Raum for even longer. Leipzig must face 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky).
