The unrest at FC Bayern Munich is not playing a role in Bundesliga club RB Leipzig's preparations for Saturday's top match at the Allianz Arena (18:30/Sky). "We're focusing on our performance, which was very good in the last two away games in Munich. Even if the situation at Bayern isn't so easy at the moment, it's still Bayern Munich at home. You can't go there and think everything will go by itself," said goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi on Tuesday after Leipzig's public training session.
The team need a top performance, especially a collectively good defensive performance. "We know what quality Bayern have in attack, they're still a world-class team," said Gulacsi, who is also relying on the attacking qualities of his team-mates. "We'll certainly get our spaces and chances, and we have to make the most of them."
The Hungarian international goalkeeper, Amadou Haidara, Dani Olmo and captain Willi Orban all completed only parts of the team training session on Tuesday in order to manage their workload.
Olmo in particular, who scored all three goals in the 3-0 Super Cup win in Munich at the start of the season, is very important for RB's game, said Gulacsi: "He's someone who creates a lot of chances, who can score goals himself, an important man in our build-up play."
