FC Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. As manager at Leipzig, Eberl was already involved in the signing of the Dutchman. The contract in Paris runs until June 30, 2027. As Xavi is an important part of the RB team, the Saxons would like to loan him out for another season. Would Eindhoven cash in on this?
It is unlikely that PSG will sell the player this summer. According to reports, Xavi's previous club Eindhoven would then cash in on a generous transfer fee. In a year's time, the proceeds would then flow into PSG's account. A loan plus purchase option would also be possible. However, Xavi should have a contractual say in where he is loaned to.
Xavi, whose market value is estimated at around 80 million euros, can look back on a strong season in Leipzig. In 43 competitive matches, the 21-year-old scored ten goals and provided 15 assists. Coach Marco Rose hopes to have the dribbling attacking player in his squad again in the new season.
