The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau have celebrated their second win of the season. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges came out on top 28:22 (14:12) against TuS Metzingen in their Bundesliga game at home in Zwickau's Stadthalle on Saturday. Arwen Gorb (6), Blanka Kajdon (6/3), Kaho Nakayama (5) and Laura Szabo (5/3) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. Jana Scheib (6) and Nele Franz (6/3) scored the most goals for Metzingen.
Zwickau got off to a very good start to the game and led 4:1 after ten minutes, but the visitors tied the scores at 6:6 nine minutes later. An open exchange of blows then ensued. After leading 19:16 (41'), the visitors trailed 20:21 (45'). Zwickau conceded just one goal in the final quarter of an hour thanks to its outstanding defense with goalkeeper Barbara Gyori and produced an 8:1 run to decide the encounter.
