Hansa loses to fearful opponent: Fortuna from Düsseldorf has once again proven its reputation as a fearful opponent of FC Hansa Rostock. For the fourth time in a row, the Mecklenburgers had to admit defeat to the team from the Rhineland. With the 1:3 (1:2), the Rostock team conceded its second defeat in a row. "If you want to win games in the 2nd division, you have to be present for 90 minutes," criticized Hansa coach Alois Schwartz and grumbled, "We let ourselves get lulled and showed no body language."
Hansa's increase was of no use: in front of 24,600 spectators, Christos Tzolis (17th) and Andre Hoffmann (35th) scored for the guests before the break, Jasper van der Werff scored the tying goal for Rostock shortly before the change. Jona Niemiec (88th) provided the final score shortly before the end. "A bitter defeat. A weak performance of the entire team," said scorer van der Werff.
