Netherlands U21 international Ezechiel Banzuzi will play for RB Leipzig in the future. The Saxons have signed the talented player to a long-term contract. He is expected to cost a double-digit million sum.

RB Leipzig have signed Dutch youth international Ezechiel Banzuzi as their first new signing for the coming season. The 20-year-old midfielder will join the Bundesliga club in the summer from Belgian club OH Leuven. Banzuzi signed a five-year contract until 2030 with the fifth-placed club in the table, the Saxons announced.

According to media reports, RB will pay a transfer fee of around 16 million euros for the central midfielder. Banzuzi's contract in Leuven runs until June 30, 2026.

Banzuzi has played in Belgium's top flight since 2023 and has made 66 appearances to date. He is also an integral part of the Dutch U21 team. "He's a classic box-to-box player, tall, quick, physical and technically strong. He also has a good passing game and has qualities in front of goal, especially with set pieces," said Leipzig's sporting director Marcel Schäfer about the new signing.
