Bundesliga club RB Leipzig has signed talented goalkeeper Timo Schlieck to a professional contract. As the club announced on Tuesday, the 18-year-old has signed a contract until June 2027.
"He has everything he needs to make a lasting impression in the professional game and that's why it quickly became clear to us that we wanted to give him a professional contract! In addition to his size, he is characterized above all by his ability to react and he is also already at a very good level in terms of soccer, said sports director Rouven Schröder about the nine-time U-national player, who moved to Leipzig from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
Schlieck attended the training camp in La Manga (Spain) in January this year and trains regularly with the Bundesliga team alongside Peter Gulácsi, Janis Blaswich and Leopold Zingerle under goalkeeping coach Frederik Gößling.
