Real Madrid attacking legend Emilio Butragueño is expecting two tough duels with RB Leipzig in the last 16 of the Champions League. "They have a great mentality, are physically strong and quick in attack," said the 60-year-old, recalling the two group games last year: "They were two very tough and evenly matched games. We expect the same in the round of 16."
Leipzig lost 2-0 in Madrid, but won 3-2 at home. The Saxons will host the record winners of the top flight again on 13 February, with the second leg taking place at the renovated Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on 6 March. Real are clearly the favorites, as Butragueño also sees it. "Logically, our goal is to reach the quarter-finals. We have to play two good games," said the 69-time Spanish international. Butragueño has played over 450 games for the Whites and is now a representative for the club.
