Thanks to a huge improvement in defense, the team from Saxony is able to turn the tide. Blomberg only managed to score six goals after the break.

The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau have made a successful start to the Bundesliga season. The team of coach Norman Rentsch defeated HSG Blomberg-Lippe 27:21 (13:15). Kayo Nakayama (8 goals), Louise Cavanie and Simona Stojkovska (4 each) played the biggest part in the success. Nieke Kühne (5) scored the most goals for the visitors.

In the beginning, it did not look like a success for the team from Saxony. Zwickau trailed 5:9 after a quarter of an hour and was then able to take the lead for the first time at 16:15 (35'). The game was decided in the final ten minutes, when Zwickau pulled away from 20:19 (50') to 27:20 (60'). The home side improved enormously in defense after the break and only conceded six goals to HSG Blomberg-Lippe.
