Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt are eager for revenge against RB Leipzig. After two defeats this season in the DFB Cup and the first leg, the Hessians want to pick up three points at home and distance themselves from their direct rivals for a Champions League place. "We still have something to make up for. The lads are fired up," said Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller ahead of Saturday's top game (6.30pm/Sky) at a sold-out Deutsche Bank Park.
With a win, Eintracht could pull six points clear of table neighbors Leipzig, while a defeat would see the Saxons draw level with the third-placed home side. "We know that we can take a huge step forward with a home win," said Toppmöller.
In terms of personnel, the 44-year-old can draw on a full squad apart from playmaker Mario Götze (muscle injury) and Kaua Santos (cruciate ligament rupture). There is at least some confidence that Götze will be able to make one more appearance in the final spurt of the championship. "There is hope that he might be able to play in the last two games. But we'll have to wait and see how he heals," said Toppmöller.
