The thermal spa Silber-Therme Warmbad is a popular spa in the Erzgebirgskreis. There are several million euros in funding from the federal and state governments for renovations and expansion. What is planned?

Around 200,000 people visit the Silber-Therme Warmbad in Wolkenstein (Erzgebirgskreis) every year. The federal and state governments are funding the thermal baths with 11.7 million euros for renovation and expansion, as announced by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport. Among other things, this will be used to enlarge the outdoor pools, renew the water treatment system and purchase a photovoltaic system. The total costs amount to 14.2 million euros. This means the funding rate is 82.5 percent.

The spa opened 24 years ago. Since then, the spa has been gradually modernized and expanded. "The Silber-Therme is a nationally renowned spa and therefore a tourist landmark in the Ore Mountains," said Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig (SPD).
