Many Dresdeners are already looking forward to this year's 12th Mafia Mia spectacle around the godfather. This year, Cuba plays a decisive role.

From 22 November 2024, Mafia Mia will once again whisk its guests away to the exciting world of the Godfather - but this time with an exotic twist. Under the motto "Havana Tropicana - Cuba meets Mafia", the story of a diamond treasure hidden in Cuba will be the focus of the 12th show in the successful series. Guests can expect not only an exciting mafia adventure, but also a thrilling evening full of music, comedy, artistry and culinary delights.

The adventure around the diamond treasure

Valuable diamonds belonging to the godfather have been hidden in the legendary Hotel Nacional de Cuba, where celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando once came and went, for decades. But the renovation of the hotel threatens to bring the secret to light. The godfather, played by Bert Callenbach, must devise a clever plan together with his family to recover the treasure in time and smuggle it to Dresden. Whether and how this succeeds is told in a spectacular way in the show. Elaborately produced videos from Dresden complement the gripping plot and allow the audience to immerse themselves in the world of the Godfather.

Unforgettable entertainment and breathtaking artistry

In addition to the exciting story, Mafia Mia also offers first-class entertainment this year. The Mafia Mia Dancers provide real Cuban joie de vivre with spirited dance interludes, while the comedy duo Schlicht & Kümmerling strain the guests' laughter muscles with their misadventures. The evening will be accompanied musically by "The Firebirds", who will present rock'n'roll at its finest and an a cappella medley. The talented singer Elisa Cipro also delights with a versatile repertoire ranging from pop to classical music.

The show's artists provide thrills, including the Cuban duo Corazon with a handstand act and the Ukrainian artist Oleg Valko, who puts on a breathtaking performance on the straps. Another highlight is the LED hoop dance show by Vivian Spiral from the USA, who conjures up artistic patterns and structures with illuminated hoops.

Culinary delights with Mafia Mia's signature duck

During the show, guests enjoy an exclusive four-course menu, the main course of which is traditionally duck - of course there is also a vegan option. The menu is served during the breaks and perfectly rounds off the evening's culinary experience.

New in 2024: state-of-the-art LED technology and strong advance booking figures

This year, guests can expect a very special visual innovation: for the first time, the show will be supported by a large LED wall, which will take the staging to a new level. According to organizer Mirco Meinel, two thirds of the tickets have already been sold - an increase of 20% compared to last year. So be quick, because tickets are in high demand.

An evening for all the senses - be there!

Mafia Mia is once again offering a unique event this year that combines excitement, entertainment and enjoyment. From the thrilling adventure in Cuba to the after-show party with DJ in the Ostra Studios - this evening is guaranteed to be unforgettable.
