Die zweifache Oscar-Preisträgerin Cate Blanchett (52) kommt zu Dreharbeiten in die Dresdner Philharmonie. In dem Streifen «TÁR» von Todd Fields verkörpere sie eine Chefdirigentin, teilte die Philharmonie am Dienstag mit. Teil des Films sind auch zwei reguläre Konzerte des Orchesters im Kulturpalast, hieß es. Ab 16. September werde der Konzertsaal für eine Woche zur Filmkulisse. Der Film wird von Focus Features und Universal Pictures International in Zusammenarbeit mit X Filme International produziert.
Nach Angaben der Philharmonie spielen in dem Film auch Nina Hoss und die französische Schauspielerin Noémie Merlant mit. Die Filmmusik stamme von der Grammy-Gewinnerin Hildur Guðnadóttir. Bei den Konzerten am 18. und 19. September wird Gustav Mahlers 5. Symphonie unter der Leitung von Stanislav Kochanovsky aufgeführt. Dabei würden auch Bilder mit Publikum gedreht, aber keine Nahaufnahmen, hieß es weiter.
Laut Philharmonie entsendet X Filme International ein Team mit 120 Leuten nach Dresden. Für Make-up, Catering und als Aufenthaltsräume für das Filmteam soll es rund um den Kulturpalast mehrere Zelte und Trucks geben. Weitere Teile des Films würden in Berlin gedreht. Für alle Beteiligten gelte ein strenges PCR-Testregime.

Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (52) is coming to the Dresden Philharmonic for filming. In the film "TÁR" by Todd Fields she embodies a chief conductor, the Philharmonic announced on Tuesday. Part of the film will also include two regular concerts by the orchestra at the Kulturpalast, it said. Starting Sept. 16, the concert hall will become a film set for a week, it said. The film is produced by Focus Features and Universal Pictures International in cooperation with X Filme International.
According to the Philharmonic, the film also stars Nina Hoss and French actress Noémie Merlant. The film's score is by Grammy-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, it said. The concerts on September 18 and 19 will feature Gustav Mahler's 5th Symphony conducted by Stanislav Kochanovsky. Pictures with audience will also be shot, but no close-ups, the statement added.
According to the Philharmonic, X Filme International is sending a team of 120 people to Dresden. There will be several tents and trucks around the Kulturpalast for make-up, catering and as lounges for the film team. Other parts of the film would be shot in Berlin. A strict PCR testing regime would apply to all participants.
