Music, mulled wine, stollen and handicrafts from the Ore Mountains will be on show in Saxony this weekend in the heart of Rome's old town. According to a press release, a Herrnhut star will be shining at the first Saxon Christmas market at the Evangelical Church of Christ near the Villa Borghese park, which will be presented by Culture and Tourism Minister Barbara Klepsch (CDU) before the opening on Friday.
This brings "an important symbol of Saxon Christmas tradition" to the eternal city. It stands for faith, community, tradition and hope, "precisely these values are more important than ever at this time". In its light, ensembles of former Thomaner and members of the Collegium Thomanum will give concerts.
