On November 21, the time has come again: the winter exhibition "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" opens at Moritzburg Castle near Dresden with costumes and props from the popular fairytale film, as announced by Schlösserland Sachsen. Until March 2, visitors can learn about the background to the film and the actors and admire re-enacted scenes from the film.
This year, costumes will once again be available to try on. New this time is Cinderella's wedding dress and a costume of the King, both of which will be newly sewn for the exhibition. The original costumes on display include Cinderella's dancing dress and shoe and a costume of the prince, which can be seen in the decorated ballroom.
The baroque castle of Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong was a filming location for the German-Czech co-production, which premiered in 1973 and has long been part of the Christmas television program. The exhibition for the film was first held in 2009. Last season, 134,000 visitors came to the exhibition to celebrate the film's 50th anniversary.
