The sale of the hospitals in Wurzen and Grimma has been decided: The new owner will be Sana-Kliniken AG, the district of Leipzig announced. The district will retain ten percent of the shares.
The Muldenkliniken were in financial difficulties. Last year, the district of Leipzig prevented the threat of insolvency with financial aid of ten million euros.
The Sana Group intends to link the two hospitals together with the clinics in Borna and Zwenkau to form a medical network for the district of Leipzig. It wants to continue to offer all services from preventive care to outpatient and inpatient care to specialized services and rehabilitation.
