Crowdfunding campaign for FSV Zwickau reaches goal

The crowdfunding campaign for regional soccer club FSV Zwickau, which is fighting for its existence, has reached its goal. Four days before the end of the campaign, the 500,000 euro mark was cracked, as the club announced on Wednesday. "We are absolutely overwhelmed and grateful that such a huge amount of help has reached us here in Zwickau," the statement said. "With the donations from crowdfunding, we want to enable a sustainable continuation of FSV Zwickau and also remain independent and free from investors contrary to us."

This continues the positive development in the environment. For the Regionalliga, the relegated team had previously sold 1200 season tickets, more than for the previous third league season.
