Thanks to Christoph Daferner, Dynamo Dresden have established themselves in the top flight of the 3rd Football League. The striker was involved in all the goals in the 3-0 (2-0) win at relegated second division side VfL Osnabrück on matchday 14. In front of 15,741 spectators at the Osnabrück stadium on Bremer Brücke, the 26-year-old striker gave the home side a reassuring lead at the break with his goal in the 42nd minute and the assist for Jakob Lemmer's second goal in the second minute of stoppage time. Daferner also scored a brace in the 67th minute to make it 3:0.
The game was mainly characterized by duels in midfield and no major scoring chances until shortly before the break, before Daferner took the lead with a shot from the edge of the box. Shortly afterwards, he set up Lemmer for Dynamo's second goal.
