Despite the third home defeat in a row and now five games without a win, Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Gerardo Seoane was pleased with his team's performance. "Of course we can't be satisfied with the points haul and the start. But the team has made an important step forward compared to last week," the Swiss found after the 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig on Saturday. One stood very compactly, allowed little and defended well over long stretches," said the Swiss, who is still waiting for the first victory after five Bundesliga games with Borussia.
"In our situation, we must succeed just a perfect game. We must not actually make any mistakes of our own. Of the three difficult home games against Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Leipzig was the most complete today. From there I am satisfied with the performance," said the coach.
Also center back Maximilian Wöber saw progress. "The coaching team has sworn us in that we show a different face than last week in the first half against Darmstadt. We showed that today and implemented a lot of what we set out to do. We really sacrificed ourselves," the Austrian said.
