Four days after their 3:1 home defeat against champions MTV Stuttgart, the Dresden SC volleyball team returned to winning ways. In the chasing duel, the third-placed team in the Bundesliga beat fourth-placed SC Potsdam 3:0 (25:14, 25:17, 25:22) in front of 1030 spectators in the MBS Arena on Wednesday.
However, the visitors did not have to put up too much resistance. With the exception of middle blocker Anna Koulberg, Potsdam coach Riccardo Boieri had surprisingly only fielded a B team. Dresden did not even need to play to their full potential for long stretches to dominate the match.
In the third set, however, Dresdner SC needed another five match points before Lorena Fijok put an end to the one-sided match with the 25th point. Afterwards, DSC player Patricia Nestler was named the most valuable player.
