The Veilchen have already extended the contracts of captain Martin Männel and striker Marcel Bär. Now the current top scorer in the Regionalliga Nordost is coming to the Lößnitz Valley.

Third division soccer club FC Erzgebirge Aue has announced its first new signing for the coming season. After veterans Martin Männel and Marcel Bär have extended their contracts, the Violets have added a striker in Erik Weinhauer. The 24-year-old is currently still playing for regional league club FC Carl Zeiss Jena, for whom he has scored 16 goals this season in the Regionalliga Nordost.

"Erik Weinhauer's profile makes him a very good fit for us: flexible in attack, capable of development, hungry and well trained with goalscoring potential. We are delighted that we were able to show him an attractive prospect and that he has decided to join us," explained Sporting Director Matthias Heidrich.
