While still playing for the Dresden Titans in the 2nd German Basketball League last season, he now has the chance to play for one of the most successful teams in the North American basketball league, the NBA: the Los Angeles Lakers have signed Grayson Murphy, for whom he played in the 2024 Summer League. In the best-case scenario, the 25-year-old point guard could now even go basket hunting with superstar LeBron James.
However, it remains to be seen whether Murphy will actually make it into the NBA squad or whether he will mostly play for the Lakers' farm team in the lower G-League. According to the Lakers, Murphy played 23 times for the Titans last season. He hit 43.3 percent of his three-point shots. He scored more than ten points per game 18 times and at least 20 points four times.
