Hallescher FC slips to second-last place

Halleesche FC has missed the possible jump from the relegation zone. The charges of coach Sreto Ristic lost on Sunday at home Leuna-Chemie-Stadion the duel against promoted Preußen Münster with 1:4 (0:3) and thus remain the fifth game in a row without a win. Malik Batmaz (6th, 19th) and Jano Ter-Horst (43rd) had already ensured a preliminary decision at the break. Joel Grodowski (89th) contributed the fourth goal to Preußen's away victory. For the HFC, which slipped on the penultimate place, Aljaz Casar (53.) met to the intermediate 1:3. The last success had succeeded to the red-whites on 3 September with the 4:1 (1:1) against the SV Sandhausen.

With a heavy blooper Sven Mueller initiated already after six minutes the sixth defeat of the season. A central shot on goal by Sebastian Mrowca deflected the keeper forward. Batmaz dusted off the shot with his head and completed a counterattack 13 minutes later to make it 2:0. After Daniel Kyerewaa (36., 38.) alone in front of Müller failed to put the ball in the Halleschen housing, Ter-Horst converted a cross from Benjamin Böckle for 3-0 half-time score. The Hallenser could have gone with a more scarce result into the break, but Torjäger Dominic Baumann (17., 34.) headed only the ball at the lower edge of the bar and afterwards completely free standing from five meters at the gate past.

Eight minutes after the restart hope arose once again with the house owners. A cross from Timur Gayret headed Casar to 1:3 in the Münsteraner housing. Erich Berko (60th), Casar (68th) and Jonas Nietfeld (74th), whose shot from five meters on the goal line was blocked by Böckle, were close to the 2:3. The guests, however, remained dangerous with their counterattacks. Grodowski successfully completed one of them one minute before the final whistle.
