Werder Bremen are working on signing the Portuguese André Silva from RB Leipzig, according to media reports. The 29-year-old attacker is set to leave the Bundesliga rivals due to a lack of sporting prospects. He has only made eight appearances in the league so far this season. In Bremen, however, Silva could strengthen the thinned-out attack.
The striker had his best time at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2020/21, when he scored 28 Bundesliga goals in just one season. However, the biggest obstacle to a potential transfer to Bremen is Silva's high salary. Therefore, only a loan deal is conceivable for the time being. The transfer deadline in the Bundesliga ends this Monday evening at 8 p.m.
