Jacqueline Pfeifer and Axel Jungk win the German skeleton championships. Pfeifer comes out on top ahead of Hannah Neise and Corinna Leipold, while Jungk wins ahead of Felix Keisinger and Felix Seibel.

Jacqueline Pfeifer and Axel Jungk won the titles at the German skeleton championships on the World Championship track in Winterberg. Pfeifer, who finished second at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang under her birth name Lölling, came out on top on her home track in Hochsauerland on Sunday ahead of Beijing Olympic champion Hannah Neise and Corinna Leipold. Neise and Pfeifer will complete the team at the next World Cup from December 8-10 in La Plagne alongside the already seeded Tina Hermann, who won the opening event in Beijing, and World Champion Susanne Kreher.

In the men's event, Olympic silver medallist Jungk won ahead of Felix Keisinger and Felix Seibel. Beijing Olympic champion Christopher Grotheer, who also won in Beijing, had already been nominated. The quartet will now also compete in the World Cup. The World Championships will be held on the track in Winterberg at the end of February.
